The Loading and Unloading of a heavy vehicle is a very high risk activity which can become very dangerous if not done properly. Loading and Unloading happens in a variety of ways, such as through the tipping of goods, the use of a forklift or side loader, containers etc. The risk of rollover or striking powerlines are just some of the risks that need to be assessed and controlled within this process. By implementing controls, it ensures a safe workplace for its drivers, staff and most significantly, the community and other road users.
