FORM 60 Safe Operating Procedure – Dangerous Goods

This Safe Operating Procedure on Dangerous Goods is a guide to be referenced as required by all persons who control or directly influence business practices and making decisions on the safe and correct management and transportation of Dangerous Goods.

This SOP will assist in ensuring any required permits will be applied for regarding the Dangerous Goods, and will be made known to the Worker/Driver as an auditable record. The use of placarding and safe handling is required, and will be controlled and maintained by the Operator/Business.

Within this Safe Operating Procedure, the following points are addressed:

– Transporting Dangerous Goods (Incl. Placarding)

– Safe Segragation of Dangerous Goods

– Collecting Dangerous Goods (Incl. Freight Presentation, Incorrect or Insufficient Labelling & Safe Loading)

– Routes

– Emergency Preparedness and/or Pollution Incident Response Management Plan
